Getting Started A list of files included:
begin_here.html -- This file. Checkr.exe -- The compressed Checker CDS program file -- Click-Here to install the program check.gif -- A visual graphic for showing customers where each data field goes blank.jpg -- A scanned blank check (print to show office supply clerk) filled.jpg -- A scanned sample printed check (print to show office supply clerk) tmplates.html -- Detailed information on the bonus templates form1.html -- 1st of 2 templates: This one uses formmail.cgi to send orders -- (can be encrypted) form2.html -- 2nd of 2 tempates: Emails the order directly to you using "mailto:" -- (no encryption possibility) formmail.cgi -- A script file for use with online forms -- View and modify with a text editor formmail.txt -- Help file for setting up your formmail.cgi file buycheck.html -- Instructions on how to purchase blank checks
Template Notes IMPORTANT: Before you use either of the templates included, make sure you edit them first to include your company information and your email address. If you don't, your orders will never make it to you and will eventually be returned to your customer. You can edit the templates "checkform.html" and "checkform2.html" using a text editor. Something simple like 'notepad' will work fine.
Customizing Placement Of Data Fields On Your Checks Placement of the data fields on the check can also be modified within the program. This allows you flexibility to use different blank check formats or sizes for different uses. In the program menu under "Browse", select "Browse check formats" and you can select a style to modify, or even create a new style if you like. In this area you can set each data field coordinate (x,y) to whatever you like. 2 styles are already included in the program. I have also created one I use for my online forms. If you would like to create a new style like the one I use, create a new style using these values for all of the field entries. When you modify placement of field data, I suggest you print first on regular white paper, then hold your check paper behind it under light. This will help you align all of your positioning without wasting a bunch of your check paper in the process.
